In 2019, whilst on exchange in Turin, Italy, I participated in a master’s course focused on architecture and economics. The unit delved in the similarities of the city in Italy I was living in (Turin) and a city of relative scale and character in China (Nanjing).

I worked as part of a group of two people to design mirroring developments in both cities, with the brief specifying that the developments should promote a co-housing philosophy. I focused on the development in Turin, Italy, with the core idea being delivering public, communal and private spaces that would help allow immigrants or refugees to help integrating into an existing community.
